Fish Fry for Cabell Stewart

It takes a village to raise a child, and one Tybee "village" is raising money for one special child in need.

Cabell Stewart is well known among the Village at Lazaretto Creek, where his father Brad is a fishing captain.

At just six months of age, Cabell was placed at the top of a wait list for a heart transplant, and waited 91 days for the miracle to arrive. Just before his second birthday, he was diagnosed with Autism. Since then, his family has struggled with increased costs not only due to post-transplant medical care, which requires regular trips to his doctors in Atlanta, but special daycare and therapy sessions.

To help the Stewarts, the Village at Lazaretto Creek business owners and friends are rallying with a fish fry on Saturday, October 22nd at Coco's Sunset Grille on Tybee Island starting at 5:00 pm. For $15, supporters will be treated to some of Tybee's best fish with coleslaw, a side and tea.

This event is sponsored by Coco's Sunset Grille and Capt. Mike's Dolphin Adventure Tours.

The Tybee Island Light Station is one of America's most intact having all of its historic support buildings on its five-acre site.
